Now there is an advanced, all-purpose charger that covers anything from a small jet-ski battery up to a large truck battery in New Zealand and delivers better results.

Until now you might have required three separate types of chargers - one to cover lightweight marine or motorcycle batteries, another for cars and a third for heavy-duty batteries in trucks. No more.

Leading battery technology specialist Projecta has incorporated the latest digital technology into its new seven-stage automatic 12-Volt IC range of battery chargers, which have just gone on sale in New Zealand. With adjustable output and intelligent seven-stage charging, these compact units are suitable for virtually any application, from professional users and fleet operators, to the home garage.

Unlike traditional chargers where the charger output is fixed and designed to suit a specific range of battery sizes, the output of the IC range can be adjusted to suit a wider range of battery types. This allows the charger to deliver the correct charge for everything from a light-duty recreational model right up to a large, heavy-duty battery.

Seven-stage charging technology results in a battery that will out-perform and last longer than one charged using a conventional charger. The full charge from the seven stages makes the new IC models ideal for use on deep-cycle batteries in boats and motor homes, as well as automotive battery types, including wet, maintenance-free, gel, calcium and AGM technology.

The new IC range makes use of clever digital design that allows many additional features to be available at the touch of a button. Thus, an operator can measure the percentage of charge in the battery; recover deeply discharged batteries with the battery recondition mode; monitor the power going into the battery via an LED digital Volt and AMP meter and report battery problems during the charging process.

All Projecta automatic chargers, including the seven stage models, provide spark-free connection plus short-circuit and polarity protection built in, making them safe for use on all vehicles without the risk of damaging sensitive vehicle electronics.

There are two modes in the new IC range, an 8,000mA 7 stage charger, with adjustable output from 2 - 8 Amps and a 16,000mA charger with adjustable output from 2 - 16 Amps.

These advanced battery chargers are now in store at leading automotive outlets throughout New Zealand.
