The innovative 24Volt Truckstar 70Watt globes recently released by NARVA in New Zealand are sure to become a real winner with both drivers and transport company management.

In fact, they have already impressed one local operator, who has installed them in a fleet of coaches.

Using revolutionary technology in a new tightly wound single coil filament, the Truckstar globes are producing 100% more light on the road than traditional 24V headlamps. With more concentrated light and better illumination there is less strain on the driver and greater safety with more time to react from greatly enhanced visibility.

From the fleet management perspective, the service life of the new globes is improved 100% with a more even distribution of temperature over the coil and greater resistance to vibration. This not only saves costs in replacements but considerable down time in the change-over. Typical operating life for the new Truckstar globe is 1,200 hours, compared to 600 hours for normal globes, so the economic advantages for fleets are obvious. The new globes are ADR approved, ‘E’ marked, UV cut and safe for use in headlamps with polycarbonate lenses.

Their performance has been backed up by Pavlovich Coachlines Service Manager, Bryan Rowe, who commented: “It is easy to out-drive your headlights when driving a coach but the greatly increased light output of the Truckstar globes has increased driver comfort and road safety.”
