Brighten up the interior of buses, coaches and even trucks with a new LED light from top automotive lighting specialist NARVA……and save money.

A new interior LED lamp from NARVA is among the first to be designed especially for bus and transport vehicles and it will be much cheaper to use than old technology fluorescent lights because it will last longer.

The new large interior LED lamp now being released in New Zealand by NARVA under Part No. 87752, has been designed as a direct retro-fit replacement for the earlier fluorescent designs, as well as for original equipment use.

“Although more expensive than fluorescent lamps, the virtually trouble-free, long life benefits soon outstrip any savings made with the elimination of down time replacing fluorescent tubes and inverters,” says Don Tennet, of Narva New Zealand.

“Cost savings, reliability and safety issues all combine to make this the ideal lamp to specify at the time of ordering new coaches as well as upgrading.”

With overall dimensions of 660 x 145mm, the new lamps have a host of features including multi-voltage 9–30 Volt operation; low current draw; long service life; low heat output and a virtually unbreakable lens. The optically designed polycarbonate lens and six high intensity wide angle LED’s offer a smooth, even spread of bright light that is less reflective than fluorescents resulting in greater passenger comfort and safety.

The lamp comes with a durable aluminium housing allowing it to be flush mounted and a hard wire cable is factory fitted to ensure convenience, reliability and time saving for both original equipment and retro-fitting.

Additional advantages are also evident in this new lamp when used for lighting refrigerated vans. LED’s operate at optimum performance in sub-zero temperatures and the virtually unbreakable lens and flush mounting minimises any risk of damage when loading or as a result of a load shift in transit.
